Let the world know

I think anyone who has eoad should contact their local news agency and let them know how hard it is to be so young and not get any support!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with becoming a television star that's how many movie actors get their career start. This is serious though and I'm right along side of you. Shout and be heard, Laura. You and me are the forgotten ones. Everyone wants to forget Alzheimer's.

  2. Everyone wants to see it forgotten is in reference to my life with Alzheimer's and how no one wants to pay attention to it, sure there's a new small movement but it's small none the less. There are more tv commercials for dog food than public service messages on AD.

It's an unspoken nasty word in my realm, my corner of the world. I have trouble with family, with others, and have learned who my true friends are. The "uni bomber" has more publicity even today.

Sure I want to see it cured. I don't want to forget it ~ I live in it. As a caregiver and a granddaughter of an AD patient, seems that people consider us taboo. In EOAD, the momentum really hasn't started moving yet, just an easy google search show us that.

Hope that's more sensible for others. "Everyone wants to forget Alzheimer's" is that only a few are ready to address it.

  3. I thought about calling the paper. I am concerned about people trying different things without knowing for sure what the consequences are. I read the board on Rember. It is possibly the answer for many people. Google rember and read about it. They are going to start trials this year. People are trying to find a substitute. Rember is an old drug called Methylene Blue. People are using a form of Methylene Blue that is used for curing "ich" in fish. They find it in pet stores. One lady mixes it with water and gives it to her mother. What a sorry state when we have to resort to this. I wrote to TauRX that is doing the drug trals and told them what people are doing. I got a response but my concern was not mentioned.
